The BC Government is really sending out mixed messages here in Victoria, British Columbia. On the one hand, they are telling us we have to stop releasing sewage into the ocean in order to protect the environment.
On the other hand, they are forcing us to privatize our new sewage treatment system, even though private companies have a horrible track record when it comes to protecting the environment when things inevitably go wrong.
This website does not weigh into the debate about whether Victoria needs to stop releasing sewage into the ocean. It focuses only on exposing the faulty logic of the BC Government’s fervent push to privatize our public services through the use of public-private partnerships or PPPs.
This website aims to cut through the rhetoric and explore the facts about PPPs.
